Awarded as “Africa’s leading destination 2025” by WTA (World Travel Awards), Tanzania features serene vast plains, gorgeous starlit skies, vibrant grasslands, and majestic mountains!
Besides these spectacular factors, this East African nation also offers a few of the world’s most renowned national parks, like the Serengeti and Tarangire, as well as the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater Floor.
You’ll kickstart this 6-Day Tanzania Wildlife Tour by going on an unforgettable full day game drive in Tarangire National Park, famed for its striking natural scenery, large elephant population, and scenic baobab trees.
From your safari vehicle, you might be able to spot animals like African bush elephants, spotted hyenas, Masai giraffes, olive baboons, lions, leopards, and Cape buffaloes in their natural habitat roaming often just a few feet away from you!
Next, you’ll stop by Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that spans across a staggering 14,763 square kilometers! Known particularly for the Great Migration, this park boasts Tanzania’s most unique natural landscapes and wildlife species.
Catch a glimpse of the Big 5, witness predator-prey interaction, drive past endless savannah fields, and see big cats like cheetahs/leopards nap on tree branches. Wherever you look, Serengeti will leave you enchanted at every glance!
Your tour will conclude by visiting the Ngorongoro Crater Floor, which sits on the top of every wildlife photographer’s dream destination. Predators like lions, spotted hyenas, and bat-eared foxes can be commonly found here along with herds of buffaloes, elephants, and wildebeest, offering you plenty of opportunities for those close encounters and candid photography moments.

Experience the Unique Wildlife of Tarangire National Park
Your tour begins in Tarangire National Park, known for its high concentration of African elephants, unforgettable natural landscapes, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife species.
Home to a staggering 550 bird species, the beauty of this destination will take your breath away, as it consists of a range of natural landscapes from savannah plains to acacia woodlands and seasonal swamps.
Established in 1970, the name of the park is derived from the Tarangire River situated in the northern zone, which attracts a variety of wildlife, especially during the dry season. Other animals that can generally be caught sight during game drives include the 4 of the Big 5 (except rhinos) along with wildebeest, zebras, spotted hyenas, and cheetahs.
Additionally, this attraction also boasts an extensive variety of birds like the martial eagle, lilac-breasted roller, African fish eagle, and grey-crowned crane, usually found in the grassland and woodland regions of the park.
Track the Big Five Across the Famous Serengeti Plains
Declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981, the Serengeti National Park is another destination covered on this tour. It’s one of Tanzania’s most prized destinations, due to its Big 5 spotting, vibrant natural landscapes, and the Great Migration.
While the Great Migration occurs year round, the dry season (occurring June to October) offers the best opportunity to visit Serengeti, as massive herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move across the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems in search of food and water. The sight of these animals moving in staggering numbers is said to be a sight to behold!
One of the park’s most dangerous predators, which are the lions, is usually found in the Seronera Valley, Simba, Gol, and Moru Kopjes, as they provide the perfect habitat for hunting and resting.
Likewise, bird lovers will also find exploring Serengeti a rewarding experience, as it is believed to have estimated 500 species of birds! Be on the lookout for “Serengeti’s special birds”, which are birds that are found only in the national park and not anywhere else in the world, like grey throated spurfowl, Schalow's wheatear, red throated tit, and rufous-tailed weaver.
Enjoy a Half Day Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater Floor
Lastly, on this tour, you’ll be touring the Ngorongoro Crater Floor located inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Home to the Big 5 and other animal species (like wildebeest, zebras, hyenas, jackals, and waterbucks), the crater floor is another of Tanzania’s most prominent wildlife attraction destinations!
Lake Magadi, located here, is one of the destination's most spectacular spots, as it attracts a larger number of lesser flamingos and other species of water birds.
