Panch Pokhari Trek in Nepal is the least explored and amazing group of lakes in the Sindhupalchowk district of Nepal. At an altitude of 4100 m. above sea level, Panch Pokhari lies and offers an amazing experience in the land of sacred lakes. The trek is not so difficult. However, requires a good level of Physical fitness as you need to be self-sustained because there are very fewer teahouses and you might need to camp during the trek. 

Panchpokhari is not so far from Kathmandu valley, however, it is remote and isolated. From Pauwa Bas you will trek further to Hile Bhanjyang.  You will further trek to Narsim Pati through a lush green forest with a splendid view of Jugal Himal Range, Gauri Shankar Himal and may encounter the mountain deer and Danfe (Lophophorus).

The trekking to Panch Pokhari gets loser with reaching Narsim Pati from where you can trek to Panch pokhari. It is also a pilgrimage site and a wonderful naturally rich destination. Camping with spectacular views of the mountains and the lakes itself is picturesque. Stunning sunrise over the mountains is very wonderful. From Panch pokhari, you can see the panoramic views of Mt.Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal Range, Rolwaling Range, and Langtang Range. After visiting Panch Pokhari, you will trek to Tupi Danda. Detailed Itinerary

  • DAY 1

    Arrival at Kathmandu, Transfer to hotel.

    Your Arrival Time (?) Our office representative will meet and greet you at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu.

    At 06:00 PM: In the evening we will meet for a coffee and will brief you the details of your trek program.

  • DAY 2

    Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation.

    At 08:00 AM: After breakfast get ready for full day sightseeing of Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath stupa, Boudhanath stupa and Patan Durbar Square. Once you complete your sightseeing we will drop you back to your hotel. You will have a free evening for your shopping and trek preparation.

  • DAY 3

    Drive to Chautara.

    At 08:00 AM: After breakfast, we will towards Chautara the point from where our trekking journey starts. Chautara is the headquarter of Sindhupalchok district where we stay tonight. you can relax and enjoy the stunning mountain views and explore chautara bazar. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • DAY 4

    Trek to Sano Okhareni.

    At 08:00 AM: Our journey goes gradual uphill walking to reach Sano Okhareni. Our path passes through small villages where we can see how the diverse ethnic groups live side by side. It’s a beautiful day of experiencing beautiful nature and wonderful landscape Overnight stay at tented camps.

  • DAY 5

    Trek to Kami Kharka.

    At 08:00 AM: We walk gradual uphill walking to Thulo Okhareni. From here we get into the steeper climb with some hours walking through stunning, dense Rhododendron and pine forest. It’s a marvellous day of walking through rhododendron and pine forest with spectacular views. We can also see beautiful views of Gaurishankar, Dorje lakpa, Jugal Himal range. If we are lucky we might spot some wild animals such as mountain deer or langur monkeys birds. Overnight stay at tented camps.

  • DAY 6

    Trek to Pauwa Bas.

    At. 08:00 AM: Today’s walk is nice and gentle, being fairly level and we can enjoy our forest trails and wildlife spotting. We walk through the forest covered with rhododendron, oak, pine and juniper and we can see some nomad’s houses for cattle on the way. In Pauwa Bas there is a shelter for pilgrims to Panch Pokhari. Overnight stay at tented camps.

  • DAY 7

    Trek to Hille Bhanjyang.

    At 08:00 AM: This morning we have a steep uphill to get top hill, we get our breath back on the steep downhill though as we descend for about 2 hours through the forest. We have some spectacular views of mountains, waterfalls and villages at a distance on our way down to Hille Bhanjyang. Overnight stay at tented camps.

  • DAY 8

    Trek to Narsim Pati.

    At. 08:00 AM: We take it easy on the steep uphill section to start the day as it is about only 5 hours walk to Narsim Pati. Passing through the forest we have a splendid view of Jugal Himal Range, Gauri Shankar Himal and may encounter with mountain deer and Danfe (Lophophorus). .We descent about 3 hours through rocky hills and rhododendron forest into camp at Narsim Pati. Overnight stay at tented camps.
    Elevation: 3,700M

  • DAY 9

    Trek to Panch Pokhari.

    At 08:00 AM: Today we walk some hours of gradual ascent through rocky hills to reach our destination of Panch Pokhari. During the time of Janai Purnima festival held in August, many Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims visit this secular pilgrimage site. The chain of many peaks can be viewed from Panch Pokhari.we can see two pilgrim houses and a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Overnight stay at tented camps.

  • DAY 10

    Panch Pokhari hiking, trek to Tupi Danda.

    At 08:00 AM: This morning we have an early start to catch a stunning sunrise over the mountains. We have about  70-90 minutes uphill to see the beautiful sight of the sun rising over the Himalayas and our panoramic view includes Mt.Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal Range, Rolwaling Range, and Langtang Range. After this incredible start to the morning, we head back down to Panch Pokhari to pack up and start heading for Tupi Danda. We walk downhill some steep trails through the rhododendron forest to Tupi Danda. Overnight stay at tented camps.

  • DAY 11

    Trek to Dhap.

    At 08:00 AM: The trial to Dhap goes along the bank of Indrawati river and through the terraced fields to the beautiful village of Dhap. Dhap is home to Tamang families and gives us a great chance to gain some insight into the lives, culture and traditional architecture of Tamang villages. We will also get to enjoy several wonders along the way. Overnight stay at tented camps.

  • DAY 12

    Trek to Melamchi.

    At. 08:00 AM: We walk down through terraced fields, different stunning villages and we will also see a hydroelectricity project on the way to Tipini along the Indrawati River. Melamchi Pul Bazaar lies at the bank of Melamchi Khola (stream) and Indrawati River is comparatively a big town for this area. There are some lodges, tea shops, government offices, schools, colleges, post office, and army police camp. Overnight stay at a hotel.

  • DAY 13

    Drive back to Kathmandu.

    At 08:00 AM: Early morning we take a private vehicle back to Kathmandu. The road to Kathmandu valley is filled with panoramic views with cool air and forested road. You can do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs for your family and relatives. After reaching Kathmandu we will have a farewell dinner in the evening.

  • DAY 14

    Departure.

    You will be free until your flight time; we will drop you at Kathmandu Airport 3 hour before your flight.
