Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is popular trekking to the Langtang region of Nepal. The Thirteen-day Langtang Gosainkunda trek takes you to the pristine Gosaikunda lakes and Langtang valley where you will be facilitated with the best natural and cultural experience. The Langtang Gosaikunda comprises of several villages and mountains in the Langtang region and Gosainkunda Lake. However, the trek can be extended by adding Helambu circuit trek.

Trekking to Langtang Gosaikunda starts with a drive from Kathmandu valley. This 13 days trek itinerary comprises of some parts of Langtang National Park, Langtang valley, villages and Gosaikunda lakes. The trek starting point is Syabrubesi after a drive from Kathmandu valley and the trek ends in Dhunche with getting a drive back to Kathmandu.
The Langtang is geographically close to the Tibetan plateau. The highest altitude of the Langtang Gosaikunda trek is 4400 m above sea level. This is a moderate difficulty level trek and anybody with a good fitness level can undergo this trek. The trek is accessible and there are several teahouses and lodges available. You don’t need to camp around as you will get teahouses on the trek.
The trekking to Langtang is mindblowing as you will be exploring the Rhododendron and Oak forest along with the diverse species of flora and fauna. The Langtang National Park is home to the diversified flora and fauna. The rare and endangered species such as Red Panda, snow leopard, clouded leopard, musk deer etc. found here.
The cultural group of Langtang Gosaikunda is highly influenced by Tibetan practices. The Buddhist culture is prevalent in this region as the border is close to the Tibet. Major ethnic groups found here are Tamang and Sherpas. However, you might encounter Brahin and Chhetris in some places.
A drive from Kathmandu will take you to the beautiful village of Syabrbesi. The drive takes around eight hours and passes through rural lowland villages where you can observe the procession of an ordinary day with scenic views of mountains stretching towards valleys and lakes. Syabrubesi is also the trek starting point of Langtang Gosaikunda Trek. The trail from Syabrubesi will take you to Lama Hotel. following the upstream of Langtang River. Crossing a suspension bridge and stream, trekking further continues along with the forests of Bamboo, Rhododendron and other alpine trees.
The trekking from Lama Hotel will take you to the village of Langtang. The mindblowing views of Langtang Ri and the Langtang Valley are magnificent from the Ghoda Tablela, enroute Langtang village. The prayer flags, chortens, mani walls and watermills will make you feel like entering the valley of spirituals in the mountains. From Langtang village, you will trek further to Kyanjin Gompa walking through the pasture lands and wooden bridges.
A hike to Kyanjin Ri offers incredible landscape views of Langtang range and adjacent mountains. You will also explore Kyanjing Gompa which is famous for the Buddhist community. Along the scenic trails, you will get back to Lama Hotel via Ghoda Tabela. The descending trail will take you to the Thulo Syabru from where you can have a pleasant view of Langtang Lirung and other Tibetan Himalayan ranges.
With the steep ascent path passing through Dursagang and Foprang Danda, you will trek further to Sing Gompa. The breathtaking views of Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan Mountains, forests of oak and hemlock, rhododendron forest and pasture lands are the major attractions of Sing Gompa.
The next trekking will take you to the mindblowing Gosaikunda. The Cholang Pati, Lauribinayak, Lauribinayak pass will take you to the beautiful lake Gosaikunda. From Lauribinayak pass the 360-degree view of high Himalayan peaks can be seen. The Saraswati Kunda and Bhairab Kunda along the way are equally astounding and offers the ardent yet spectacular beauty of the glacial lakes in the Langtang region of Nepal.
