Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route
As many of you may be wondering, what is the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route that you will be going on this tour? No worries, we’ve got you covered! The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is a scenic and picturesque route that connects Toyama City of Toyama Prefecture and Omachi Town of Nagano Prefecture and covers approximately a distance of 90 km. On this route, you will go on an epic bus ride where you can witness the breathtaking snow corridors, located on the higher sections of Midagahara and Murodo, which are definitely a major highlight of this route. These snow corridors are these giant walls of snow, located on both sides of the road (with the main route in between) that measure up to a massive 18-20 meters that you’ll be traveling through. Additionally, the opening months for this route, which begins in April and lasts till June. For smaller groups that consist of up to 15 people, tickets for this need to be booked two to three months prior, as for larger groups (around 20 people), tickets need to be issued even earlier.
You can also visit the Tateyama Alpine route during other months of the year as well, as this route stays open from April to November throughout the year, giving you ample opportunities to travel through this one-of-a-kind route in Japan!
