Money and Currency Tips

When traveling from Nepal to Japan, it's essential to consider currency exchange and money management tips to ensure a smooth and efficient trip. When traveling to Japan, it is advisable to bring some Japanese currency to ensure readiness for initial expenses and unforeseen circumstances. We advise you to carry a minimum of USD 1000 in cash, as this amount can cover expenses such as meals, additional places, and shopping. Having cash on hand is beneficial, especially for small purchases, taxis, and markets; this payment method is common. Mastercards can also be used as payment methods in Japan for smoother money transactions in ATMs. By preparing adequately with cash and understanding local currency practices, you can enhance the experience and facilitate smooth transactions throughout your stay in Japan.

Best Time to Visit Japan

Due to Japan’s geographical size and diverse regions, this country experiences four distinct seasons that hold its own unique charm. The best time to visit this country depends on your own personal preferences for weather and preferred activities but in a general sense, the most ideal time to visit Japan is during the spring season, which begins in March and lasts until May. During these months, the temperatures in most prefectures stay cool, comfortable and moderate, with little to no chances of rainfall. Due to pleasant temperatures in most prefectures, you can participate in a number of fun and exciting activities, for instance, going sightseeing around historic sites, visiting vibrant markets, going cherry blossom viewing (in parks such as Shinjuku Gyoen Ueno, Sumida and Yoyogi, all in Tokyo), exploring scenic islands/beaches, or simply dining at restaurants/cafes. Additionally, Japan, being a culturally rich destination, also celebrates some major festivals during these months, which include the Hitome Senbonzakura festival (cherry blossom festival), Anime Japan, Hakata Dontaku festival (traditional music and dance festival) and Shibazakura flower festival.
